Sarah and Calem are planning a March 2011 DC Wedding and really want to have a modern, classic, sophisticated feel to there ceremony and reception. So Sarah came to me with the classic colors below
You know me, I LOVE color, so I am hoping that for lighting and the sake of drama we are able to add a burst of pink, purple or even blue to the reception

All you ladies looking for a designer gown, but its just not in the budget…have no fear Monique (and Vera) are now here!!! Now don’t get to excited about the gown above, thats NOT in the new line!! I just LOVE it, so I am sharing it (again, I think)!!
According to a Woman’s Wear Daily story, “The Los Angeles-based Lhuillier is unveiling a designer bridge collection of eveningwear, cocktail dresses and separates that will be called ML Monique Lhuillier. There will also be two bridesmaid collections – the higher-end Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids and a secondary line called ML Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids. The bridge collection will wholesale from $150 to around $400. Monique Lhuillier Bridesmaids will range from $140 to $175, and ML Monique Lhuillier will wholesale from $80 to $100,” for fall.

As a DC Wedding Planner a great perk is that we have amazing bakers and pastry chefs, so free samples are always coming at ya!! However last week I had the pleasure to meet the sisters from Magpies Cakes who do AMAZING cake design. I was excited to have a bite because sometimes when they look so great on the outside, the inside is…not so good I can positively state that Magpies is an up and coming cake decorator who bakes a deliscious cake as well . Let me tell you these ladies are going to make a huge splash in the cake world, because TALENT is their middle name!!!
Take a peek at my fav cake and also at the super cute cookies they made for me to taste. I ate one, but Priyanka my assistant gobbled them up!!! (Yes I put you out there Pri)

Wow this week has flown by!!! Todays palette is a fun one. Its for a couple that thinks outside of the box, is a little retro and just plain silly!! They are such a cute couple and I am so excited for their July 2011 wedding.
We are going to use the pattern on their invites, program placecards and maybe even as a backdrop for their photo booth!! I love it, its so not typical and that makes it FABULOUS
